IIT Kanpur Expands AI and Digital-Skills Training to 900 UP Educators
An eight-week blended programme will train 900 secondary-school teachers, DIET lecturers and education officials in AI, Python, cybersecurity and robotics.

IIT Kanpur, the Government of Uttar Pradesh and SCERT are expanding a digital-literacy and computational-thinking programme to train 900 secondary-school teachers, DIET lecturers and education officials.
The eight-week blended programme includes digital literacy, computational thinking, AI, basic Python, cybersecurity, EdTech and practical robotics. Participants will also complete assignments, projects and a final capstone presentation.
The initiative is another signal that coding and AI education are gradually moving earlier into mainstream education rather than remaining limited to engineering colleges.
